Missions

Summary of Position

The Waiter/Waitress provides friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining

experience for all guests. Their primary objective is to ensure that guests have such a

marvelous time that they are eager to return again and again

Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests, making them feel comfortable and letting them know

you're there to personally take care of them.

Menu Knowledge & Recommendations

• Inform guests of specials and menu changes, and make genuine recommendations

based on what they may enjoy.

Order Taking & System Entry

• Take food and beverage orders, entering them accurately into the point-of-sale

system, which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.

Station Management

• Remain at your station, keeping a close eye on customers and their needs without

leaving the area.

Side Work Management

• Monitor and complete side work assignments as required, both at the start and end of

each shift.

Cleanliness Maintenance

• Ensure service areas are clean and organized at all times.

Guest Satisfaction Monitoring

• Monitor and observe the guest dining experience, ensuring they are satisfied with both

food and service, and respond promptly to requests.

Billing & Payment Processing

• Prepare final bills, present checks, accept payments, and process credit card charges

or provide change as necessary.

Team Collaboration

• Assist fellow servers and the kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth service.

Table Assistance

• Help the Commis with clearing and resetting tables as necessary.

Guest Appreciation

• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Flexibility & Support

• Be available to assist in various tasks as directed by the Supervisor to ensure the

smooth operation of the restaurant.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• All policies, procedures, and guidelines are 100% applied.

• Guests’ complaints are promptly reported and reduced over time.

• Work station is consistently clean.

• Required administrative tasks are reported in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications

Have college degree or equivalent

• Have 6 months experience in similar position.

• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the

restaurant’s trading area.

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20kg.
